Languages

Naming a language is often not enough. More assignments fail over the variety than over the language itself.

The full list of languages will be added once ABS has released it. This website is already available in German, English, Arabic and Persian. Please simply ask about other languages.

Why the variety belongs in your request

Arabic is one example. Between Modern Standard Arabic and the regional varieties from Morocco, Egypt, Iraq or Syria lie differences that show up immediately in everyday conversation. For a hearing or a consent conversation that is not a detail.

Persian is a second. Farsi from Iran and Dari from Afghanistan are closely related and still differ clearly in vocabulary and pronunciation, particularly in administrative and medical terms.

If you know it, name the region of origin or the variety. If you do not, telling us where the person comes from is enough.
